Also, a casting update: Starting in Houston, Cassie Goldbach will be playing best friend Ally. Cassie was first seen in the Cleveland workshop of Ally as the Young Prosecutor. She is hard at work in rehearsals in Phoenix right now!

I saw this show on opening night in Phoenix. I have to say that Kristy Cates ROCKS! In fact the whole cast ROCKS! The music gets in your head and you will be finding yourself humming…getting it DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE while doing your housework or banging out a big project at work. And the choreo has you not knowing where to look first because it’s all so fun to watch. I know that the thought of a musical about cancer seems like a big downer, but this was not even close. Sure you have your moments of a reality check with some serious subject matter…but hey…that’s real life isn’t it? Those moments are far outweighed by the “roll on the floor laughing” moments where you think to yourself…man I know someone just like that or…yeah, I would do the same thing. If you go see this with a friend you will be pointing at each other and saying…that’s you!! I can’t wait to see this again and bring a bus full of friends to NY!
